The winners of SITGES – Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya 2024
The 57th edition of the SITGES – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia comes to a close with the announcement of its list of award winners. Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala make Festival history with three awards for The Devil’s Bath. Soi Cheang picks up the award for Best Director for Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In while Kristine Froseth, John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush, the awards for Best Actors.

Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Feature Films @ SITGES 2024
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best Fantastic Genre Feature Film at SITGES – Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya is “Animale” by Emma Benestan (France, 2024).

Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Short Films @ SITGES 2024
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best European Fantastic Genre Short Film at SITGES – Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya is “Meat Puppet” by Eros V (UK, 2024).
Oz misses another date with his girlfriend when a mysterious parcel traps his soul, leaving his body lifeless. To save their relationship, Oz must grow up. Even if that implies telling his girlfriend that he’s now trapped inside a puppet…
SITGES – Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya is an Affiliated Member of the MIFF – Méliès International Festivals Federation.
The competition is organized in collaboration with the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF).
The winners of the competitions also win the nomination to the Méliès d’or annual competition.
