Curtas Galicia Selections 2026
The 2026 edition of Curtas Galicia brings together a rich selection of European short films competing for the Méliès d’argent for Best European Short Film.
The competition features 27 titles from across Europe, with filmmakers from Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Latvia and the Netherlands. The selection reflects the diversity of contemporary European fantastic cinema, ranging from established voices to emerging filmmakers.

As part of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, Curtas Galicia contributes to the promotion and circulation of European fantastic cinema through the Méliès d’argent competition. The winning film will qualify for the Méliès d’or, the annual award celebrating the best European fantastic feature and short films selected through the federation’s network.
