Splat!FilmFest Selection 2024

The 10th edition of Splat!FilmFest will take place from October 24th to 31st, 2024, in Warsaw (Kinoteka) and Wrocław (New Horizons Cinema). As part of the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF), Splat!FilmFest brings another exciting year of European genre films to the big screen. This year, the short film competition is packed with creativity, horror, and fantastic stories, with films from across Europe competing for the prestigious Méliès d’Argent Award.

Here is the selection of short films in competition:

Girls – Julien Hosmalin (France, 2024) – 20:00
Forever Yours – Elliott Louis McKee (Germany, 2024) – 15:30
Ritual for the Rainbow – Sami Sänpäkkilä (Finland, 2024) – 18:35
The Visitor – Tony Morales (Spain, 2024) – 10:00
Thread Tension – Ruby Mastrodimos (UK, 2023) – 13:30
Good Guy – Mikolaj Piszczan (Poland, 2023) – 22:19
These films will compete for the Méliès d’Argent, which celebrates cinematic quality and creativity in European fantastic genre films. The winner of this competition will go on to compete for the Méliès d’Or, awarded annually at the Sitges Film Festival.
