Semana de Terror Donostia Selections 2026

The 37th San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival takes place from 30 October to 6 November 2026 in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain. Organised by the city’s cultural institution Donostia Kultura, the festival brings together fantastic cinema, horror and fantasy, alongside exhibitions and activities celebrating genre culture. This year, six short films are competing for the Méliès d’argent for Best European Fantastic Short Film.

Six short films from across Europe compete for the Méliès d’argent at Donostia 2026, showcasing bold and original visions of fantastic cinema.

The winners of the Méliès d’argent competitions will qualify for the Méliès d’or, the annual award celebrating European fantastic cinema.
