Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Short Films @ Fancine Malaga 2023
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best European Fantasy Genre Short Film at the Fancine Malaga 2023 is “The Last Bar” by Arne Hain (Germany, 2023, 13 min).
Kicked out on his 21st birthday and troubled by his inner demons, Melvin thinks of ending things. But right on the edge of a cliff he finds ‘The Last Bar’, a quirky place of misfits that came for all the same reasons.
The competition is organized in collaboration with the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF). The winners of the competitions also win the nomination to the Méliès d’or annual competition.
