Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Feature Films @ BIFFF 2024
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best Fantastic Genre Feature Film at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival is “Franky Five Star” by Birgit Möller (Finland, Germany 2023).
It follows Franky, a woman who suffers from multiple-personality disorder. She’s having a hard time managing the four other characters living inside her. They seem to dwell in an old-fashioned hotel in the middle of nowhere.
Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Short Films @ BIFFF 2024
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best European Fantasy Genre Short Film at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival is “I’m Not a Robot” by Victoria Warmerdam (Netherlands, 2023).
After several unsuccessful attempts to complete a Captcha, feminist Lara sets out to answer the disturbing question of whether she’s a robot, and therefore purchased by her own boyfriend.
The competition is organized in collaboration with the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF). The winners of the competitions also win the nomination to the Méliès d’or annual competition.
