Méliès d’argent Award Winner – Short Films @ Abertoir Horror Festival 2023
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best European Fantasy Genre Short Film at the Abertoir Horror Festival 2023 is “Geronimo” by Geraint Morgan (UK, 2022, 14 min).
When Peter, an anxious arcade owner is prescribed Erebus, a sleeping app, instead of sleeping pills, he reluctantly tries is out. However, far from bringing rest, Erebus’s voice takes Peter into a waking nightmare from which he may never escape.
The competition is organized in collaboration with the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF). The winners of the competitions also win the nomination to the Méliès d’or annual competition.
