From 28 October to 4 November 2026, Lund Fantastic Film Festival returns to southern Sweden for another celebration of imaginative storytelling and boundary-pushing genre cinema. As a member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, the festival continues to champion European fantastic filmmaking through its Méliès d’argent competitions for Best European Fantastic Feature Film and Best European Fantastic Short Film.

This year’s selection brings together 14 films across the two competitions, with seven feature films and seven short films representing a wide range of European voices and creative approaches to the fantastic.

The winners will be announced during the festival’s Closing Night on 4 November 2026. The winning films will then qualify for the Méliès d’or, the federation’s annual award celebrating European fantastic cinema.
