Each year, HARD:LINE transforms the city of Regensburg into a haven for genre lovers, spotlighting bold visions in horror, thriller, and science fiction. As a proud member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF), the festival honors outstanding European short films with one of the most prestigious awards in fantastic cinema.

Méliès d’argent Award Winner @ HARD:LINE 2025
The winner of the Méliès d’Argent Award for Best European Fantastic Genre Short Film at HARD:LINE Film Festival, is “Elevation” directed by Matteo Macaluso.
Elsa, following a serious bereavement, temporarily moves to her sister Anna’s house. In that suspended dimension, the faith of both is tested when strange phenomena begin to manifest themselves.
HARD:LINE Film Festival is part of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, an association currently consisting of 33 film festivals, whose mission it is to promote European fantastic cinema around the globe. The Méliès d’argent is awarded to short films for cinematic quality and creativity. The winning short film at TerrorMolins qualifies for the competition for the Méliès d’or.
