The ninth and final Méliès d'Argent was awarded at Lund Intl. Fantastic Film Festival at the closing ceremony earlier tonight.
The Méliès d'Argent went to
A Town Called Panic/Panique au Village (Stéphane Aubier/Vincent Patar, Belgium/France/Luxembourg, 2009)
The Short Film Nominee for a Méliès d'Or was awarded already last year and is:
Because there are things you never forget/Porque hay cosas que nunca se olvidan (Lucas M. Figueroa, Argentina, 2008)
Both these films will now join the others that are competing for a Méliès d'Or for Best European Fantastic Feature Film and Short Film of 2009 at the Méliès d'Or Award Ceremony that will be held at Sitges Intl. Film Festival on the evening of October 5th.
